Singer Featherweight 221 Sewing Machine
This lovely Singer 221K Featherweight was made in 1957. It is in particularly good condition with no visible wear to the gold decals and no chips or deep scratches in the Japanned surface. The normal pin scratches on the bed are exceptionally few and light and far less than usual for a machine of this age. All the plated parts are bright and shiny with no corrosion or tarnishing.
The machine works perfectly in all respects and has been recently serviced. The rubber mounting feet (bed cushions) are in good condition having been replaced, so they are not flattened or melted as with most machines of this age.
The machine is fitted with a quiet Singer CAK motor for 230v electrical supply. For use in USA / Canada, or other 110V areas, it will be necessary to purchase a small voltage convertor (minimum 100W) which are readily available quite cheaply.
The machine has its original attachments and an original paper copy of the User’s Manual.
The storage case is generally in good condition with just a small scuff of the top front right corner of the lid. Please see photo.
The above average condition of this machine can be seen by carefully examining the images below. Clicking on any the images will activate the zoom function.
