Singer Featherweight 221 Sewing Machine

221K

221K Featherweight

This lovely Singer 221K Featherweight was made in 1951 and so has the patterned style faceplate. It is in good condition with just some very slight thinning of the gold decals along the front edge of the bed. The normal pin scratches on the bed are fewer and lighter than normal. There is a small chip about 3mm across in the extension table just to the left of the throat plate. All of the plated parts are bright and shiny with no corrosion or tarnishing.

Being from 1951, this machine still has the older style brass badge and the ornately patterned faceplate etc.

The machine works perfectly in all respects and has been recently serviced. The rubber mounting feet (bed cushions) are in good condition having been replaced, so they are not flattened or melted as with most machines of this age.

The machine is fitted with a quiet Singer CAK motor for 230v electrical supply. For use in USA / Canada, or other 110V areas, it will be necessary to purchase a small voltage convertor (minimum 100W) which are readily available quite cheaply.

The machine has its original attachments and an original paper copy of the User’s Manual.

The storage case is in good condition with just the normal light surface scuffs.

The above average condition of this machine can be seen by carefully examining the images below. Clicking on any the images will activate the zoom function.
