Singer 6740 and 6790 Sewing Machines

The Singer model 6740 and its sister model 6790 were aluminium body zigzag sewing machines made in the Karlsruhe factory in Germany around 1979.

The 6790 was a free-arm version of the 6740.

Both models featured 6 built-in stitch patterns, which could be expanded with the use of type B pattern cams and type C Flexi-Stitch pattern cams.

In addition to straight stitch, the built-in patterns were :-

Blind Stitch

The type B black pattern cams provided were :-
1 - Arrowhead
3 - Diamond
4 - Solid Scallop
6 - Crescent

The type C white Flex-Stitch cams provided were :-

101 - Paris Point
102 - Fagotting

110 - Flower
